BARBECK COMMUNICATIONS MODIFIED BONANZA; KENNY”S CRAZY CAR CAPER

MACON, IL (May 30) -  Macon Speedway is pleased to welcome the BARBECK Communications team this Saturday night to take in a big night of Modified racing. BARBECK Communications Modifieds will be racing for a $1500 first place check as part of the FAST FIVE Racer Appreciation Series plus some additional special prizes.

Saturday night is also the second Kenny’s Crazy Car Caper. One lucky fan will win a previously owned Chevrolet courtesy of Decatur Used Cars, Decatur, IL.
Box Car races for the kids (postponed from the May 26 rain-out) will be held during intermission.

On Saturday, June 2, gates at Macon Speedway will open at 5:00 PM. Racing starts at 7:00. Kids Club meets this Saturday at 6:00 PM. General Admission is $10.00 for weekly races at Macon Speedway. Children 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Pit admission is $25. Wristbands and ticket stubs from Saturday, May 26 will be honored as rain checks. Weekly racing at Macon Speedway features five UMP sanctioned divisions: Late Model, Modified, Sportsman, Street Stock and Hornet. New for 2007 is the addition of the C.A.R.S. Late Models.

June 9 will feature the Lite Beer Twin-50’s featuring two UMP Late Model features, twice the points and twice the purse.
June 14 is SPEED TV Night at Macon Speedway featuring an ARMY Birthday Celebration. Up to 15 NASCAR Drivers will be in attendance racing Modifieds for a special SPEED TV program to be aired later this summer. Street Stocks and Sportsman will round out the program. June 16 is the Street Stock Saturday Night Special – part of the FAST FIVE Racer Appreciation series—with Street Stocks racing for $500 to win, plus the Faster Pastor race.
NASCAR Stars Kenny Wallace, Ken Schrader, Tony Stewart and local Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Macon Speedway in January of 2007.
