FARMER CITY, IL (July 20) - Friday night at Farmer City Raceway saw 27 late models sign in, with current points leader Scott Bull turning in fast time at 12.555 seconds. The first heat went to Bull over Jason Feger, Kyle Logue and Michael Bradley. The second heat went to Wes Steidinger over Joe Harlan, Donnie Walden and Chris Dick. The third heat went to Daren Friedman over Jr Shickel, Eric Smith and Derek Chandler. The semi feature went to Jimmy Felker Jr, taking the lead from Mike Glasscock at the white flag with Matt Beadles in third.

The feature started out to be an exciting race, with pole sitter Scott Bull taking the initial lead. A few laps into the race, Jason Feger made his high side run and took the lead from Bull, only to lead about four laps himself, and watched the current national UMP points leader Wes Steidinger slide by on the low side, and within a few laps, Steidinger started lapping cars at a blistering pace. Steidinger would eventually win, as there were no cautions for the fifth week in a row, with Scott Bull coming home second, Jason Feger third and Eric Smith fourth.

The sportsman feature was a close battle almost to the white flag lap with Jason Unzicker battling it out with Billy Nail. However, just one lap before the white flag came out, Nail went off turn one. On the restart, Jason Unzicker then had to hold off a charging Justin DeLong, Gary Turpin and Rob Bauman for the win. Fifth went to Greg Kimmons followed by Al Crowder.

The modified class saw a familiar face in victory lane, although it has been several years in the works. Matt Bachman held off McKay Wenger for the win, followed by Jeb Friedman, Wes O'Dell, Jeffrey Curl, Roben Huffman and Darcy Wey.

Jim Quinn won the street stock feature.

With 118 cars and a handful of grain trucks on hand, the late model feature was finished before 10 pm once again.
