MACON SPEEDWAY ANNOUNCES HUGE PROMOTION TO HONOR OUR LOYAL LATE MODEL DRIVERS

MACON, IL (Mar 28) - Macon Speedway proudly announces our new Super Late Model driver loyalty promotion. On August 16, Macon Speedway will have its first ever Super Late Model Special giving each Late Model a chance to win $10,000! The driver who wins the 50 lap main event that evening will automatically go home with $3,000 dollars! If that Late Model driver has shown his or her loyalty to Macon Speedway by racing at the track ten or more times in 2008, they will go home with a $7,000 bonus bringing their winnings that night to $10,000!

We are also excited to announce another Late Model loyalty promotion. Morgan County Speedway, Jacksonville, IL, has teamed up with Macon Speedway for our newest promotion, the “Midwest Big Ten Series”. The two tracks will host a series of races to be held in the 2008 racing season, the dates of the five races to be held at Macon Speedway are April 12, May 10, June 14, July 19 and August 16. Morgan County Speedway will host their five races on April 11, May 9, June 13, July 2 and July 24. Each of the ten races will include larger winnings to the winner of the feature. At the end of the season the points each driver has accumulated in those 10 races will be totaled and there will be $10,000 distributed throughout the top ten Late Models with the top point fund winner taking home another $3,000!

Macon Speedway wants to show our appreciation to our loyal Late Model drivers by announcing these two huge racer promotions. “Macon Speedway recognizes what outstanding drivers we have on a regular basis and we want to thank them for being so loyal to our racing facility. Macon Speedway acknowledges that without our drivers we could not succeed and we truly value each and every driver”, said owner Bob Sargent.

Opening Night on April 5 will kick off an exciting season of racing at Macon Speedway, Macon, IL, featuring Late Models, Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks and Hornets. The 2008 schedule showcases a variety of traditional fan favorite special events plus three NASCAR Nights of Stars when NASCAR drivers are available for autographs and actually compete with local favorites.

Fans won’t want to miss any of the action at Macon Speedway with a full summer of hot weekly racing action every Saturday night combined with an exciting mix of special events – both new and traditional.
