HOGAN GRAIN & EQUIPMENT NIGHT TO KICK OFF DOUBLE HEADER AT MACON SPEEDWAY THIS WEEKEND

MACON, IL (May 29) - Hogan Grain & Equipment will be the Title sponsor for the race at Macon Speedway on Saturday, May 31. Hogan Grain & Equipment will have a large display of equipment to view on Saturday night. Join us for an action packed night of racing which will serve as the kick off night to the double header weekend at Macon Speedway. May 31 will be our second installment of Kenny’s Car Giveaway donated by Clinton Auto Auction. Attention all soccer Moms, Clinton Auto Auction has donated a van to be given away Saturday night. The Barbeck Modifieds, Hogan Grain & Equipment Sportsman, Street Stocks and Hornet divisions will race with a special appearance by the POWRi 600 cc Mini Sprints. Eric Edwards was the victor at Macon Speedway the last time the series raced at Macon Speedway and he leads the POWRi 600cc point standings heading into Saturday’s event. He leads Springfield, IL native Ryan Guyett and Tony Roney of Herculaneum, MO by a mere 30 points. Rounding out the top five is Devon Piper and Ryan Frantz. There is expected to be at least 30 POWRi Mini Sprints on hand Saturday evening, so come get your fix of Mini Sprints. This will be the first night for the Sportsman to try to qualify for the Sportsman race at the Illinois State Fairgrounds on August 17, 2008, more dates will be announced soon. The Kidmodz series will be on hand for their second appearance of the 2008 season at Macon Speedway. If that wasn’t enough to get you going, also on hand to thrill the crowd will be the Monster Truck “Raminator.” Grandstands will open at 5 pm.

Up next in the double header is the 1st ever Tri-Track Challenge at Macon Speedway, which will feature the Northern Allstar Late Model Series racing for $6000 to win along with the Barbeck Modifieds which have an increased prize money of $600 to win. The UMP Street Stocks will also have their chance to race for $200. Grandstands will open at 3 pm: with Late Models qualifying at 6 pm. Just announced, Ken Schrader will be coming home to his local track to check out all the action!

The tickets for Saturday night are $10 for adults kids 12 & under are free. Then, come back to the track on Sunday night to watch the Northern Allstars light up Macon Speedway and bring your adult ticket stub from Saturday, May 31 and receive $5 off the admission price for Sunday, June 1. Kids 12 & under will be $5 on June 1, no discount will apply to the Kids admission price.


Don’t miss the Miller Lite Beer Twin 50’s on June 7 for 2 50 lap features, one for the Chevrolet Late Models and the other for the Barbeck Modifieds. Also, bring your camera out to the track and get your picture taken with the #20 Tony Stewart Home Depot Show car.
