Kevin Weaver and Kent Robinson win Farmer City Raceway Midwest Monster Tour event July 25, 2008

FARMER CITY, IL (July 25) - The fourth stop of the inaugural 6 stop Midwest Monster Tour came to the Farmer City Raceway Friday night. With 31 cars in the pits, Jason Feger turned in fast time at 12.861 seconds. The first heat was a very fast one, as Donny Walden and Jason Feger put on a show at the front of the pack, with Walden taking the win over Feger, followed by Scott Schmitt, Scott Bull and Joe Harlan. The second heat went to Brian Shirley over Wes Steidinger, Steve Sheppard Jr, Daren Friedman and Richie Hedrick. The final heat went to Kevin Weaver in another exciting run over Eric Smith, Ryan Dauber, Dennis Erb Jr and Aaron Ricketts. The semi feature went to Derek Chandler over a charging Jimmy Dehm, Jason Riggs, Jimmy Felker Jr and Tim Lance.

The feature event, worth $2000 and 30 laps in length started out with outside front row sitter Brian Shirley taking the early lead. About a third of the way through, Kevin Weaver got around Shirley with a low turn four pass and went on to victory. Wes Stedinger came home a close second followed by Eric Smith and Brian Shirley.

In the modified class, the winner's share for the night was $750 and the length was 25 laps. Bloomington, Indiana's Kent Robinson's home track took the night off, so Kent brought his broom with him to Farmer City and swept the program. Robinson turned in fast time, won his heat and won the feature in convincing style. The first heat went to Robinson over Tommy Seets Jr, the second heat went to Jeremy Nichols over Chad Evans. The third heat went to Denny Schwartz over Wes Steidinger. The semi went to Mckay Wenger over Travis Howell, Danny Schwartz and Jeff Leka.

The feature was a real barn-burner as Robinson took the early lead and kept it. Tommy Seets came home second, followed by Jeremy Nichols and 19th place starter Jeff Leka, followed by Chad Evans, Chad Osterhoff, Jef Friedman, Justin Delong and Cory Schwengel.

The sportsmen feature went to John Bernard over Jason Unzicker, Shane Garrison, Wes O'Dell, Joel Funk and Rod Rusher.

There were 91 cars in the pits and the late model feature was over by 10:30
