TONY STEWART HEADLINES CATERPILLAR NIGHT OF NASCAR STARS AT MACON SPEEDWAY SEPT 3

MACON, IL (Sept. 2) - One of the biggest nights of the 2008 racing season in the Midwest is almost upon us. Two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion and Macon Speedway co-owner Tony Stewart is scheduled to race the high banked 1/5 mile dirt track on Wednesday, Sept 3. Accompanying Stewart will also be co-owner Ken Schrader for the night’s festivities. The Northern Allstars Late Models will also be coming to town to race along with our Modified and Street Stock divisions.

Stewart will be racing a UMP Late Model with all of the local Macon Speedway drivers and the Northern Allstar series drivers. Macon Speedway is very fortunate to bring the stars of NASCAR to the track throughout the racing season for the fans to enjoy. Stewart is very excited to be coming home to his race track to see the local drivers and fans at Macon Speedway. He loves coming back as much as his hectic schedule will allow. The first 500 fans wearing orange will receive a special surprise.

Gates open at Macon Speedway on Sept 3 at 3:00 PM. An autograph session with the NASCAR drivers will take place from 4:30 to 5:30 on a first-come, first-served basis. Racing starts at 7:00 PM.

All seating for the Nights of NASCAR Stars at Macon Speedway is reserved. Adult seats are $25 and seats for children 12 and under are $5 for the Sept 3 event. Pit passes will be $30. Orders can be placed by calling 217-764-3000 or 217-764-3200.
