The Second Action Packed Night of Racing at Macon Speedway 

MACON, IL (April 6, 2011) - Macon Speedway will be back in action after a very exciting season opener again this Saturday night.  Last week’s Spring Fling saw large car counts and Macon Speedway hopes to once again bring back another thrilling night of entertainment for the fans of Macon Speedway.  Our new division sponsors this year are Chevrolet and Billingsley Towing. Touchstone Energy will once again be back as a division sponsor.  Last Saturday night El Paso’s Ryan Unzicker took home the checkered flag in the UMP Chevrolet Late Model division.  Jeremy Nichols edged out last year’s track champion Dave Crawley for first place in the UMP Billingsley Towing Modified division while Nick Macklin, Larry Russell Jr, Kyle Maxwell and Adam Webb took home the checkered in their divisions.

 

Saturday night’s schedule will feature all six UMP divisions, including the Chevrolet Late Models, Billingsley Towing Modifieds, Touchstone Energy Sportsmen, Street Stock, Pro Hornets, and the Amateur Hornets. 

 

Macon Speedway offers fun family entertainment every Saturday night from April to September.  With many fan favorite events on schedule, including two “Night of NASCAR Stars” nights planned and the famous Herald and Review 100, UMP’s premier SummerNational event, 2011 is stacking up to be a memorable year.  Be sure to come join Macon Speedway for an action packed summer. 

 

Gates will open at 5:00 and racing will start at 7:00.  Adults are $12 and kids 12 and under get in for free with a paying adult.
