Pape, Rasmussen, Deck score Buchanan County Fair demolition derby wins

INDEPENDENCE, IA (July 21, 2006) - A packed grandstand watched 80 cars compete in the annual demolition derby as part of the Buchanan County Fair at Independence Motor Speedway.

In the big car division, Ed Pape scored the victory as he outlasted Brad Bird and Matt Neuhaus. Jim Rasmussen took home top honors in the mid-size car division. Rob Ratchford and Dan Stiefel finished second and third. Mike Deck was triumphant in the small car division over Matt Burns and Jim Rasmussen.
