Highway 3 Raceway reschedules Indee Open Series event for August 22

ALLISON, IA (August 4, 2006) - Persistent rain showers throughout the day forced officials to pull the plug on the August 1 Indee Open Series event at Highway 3 Raceway. The postponement marked the third consecutive series event to be rescheduled due to rain. The event has been rescheduled for Tuesday, August 22.

Late models, modifieds, stock cars, hobby stocks and B modifieds will be on-hand for the August 22 make-up. Gates will open at 5 p.m. with hot laps scheduled for 6:30 and the first race to start at 7.

The next event on the series schedule is planned for Wednesday, August 16, at Fayette County Raceway in West Union. That race, rescheduled from the July 25 rainout, will include late models, modifieds, stock cars and B mods on the fairgrounds oval. Gates will open at 4 p.m. with hot laps slated for 6:30 and the first green flag set to fly at 7.
