Tire changes finalized for Climate Seal Insulation Indee Open
Series
INDEPENDENCE, Iowa (March 30) - A final adjustment has been made to the tire
rule for the late model division in the Climate Seal Insulation Indee Open
Series. The change, which will allow drivers a greater number of options, will
be in effect for the entire seven race series in 2007.
WRS D55 Hoosier, I.M.C.A. Spec Hoosier, MD56 American Racer and EC2 American
Racer tires will all be approved for competition. Grooving, grinding and siping
will be allowed on all tires, however no chemical softeners are permitted.
According to Independence Motor Speedway and Indee Open Series race director
Denny Bell, "We decided to open up the rules to benefit the drivers. This allows
them more freedom and should provide for exciting action on the track."
The Climate Seal Insulation Indee Open Series is set to open on Wednesday, May
2, at Independence Motor Speedway
