Spooktacular Places Spotlight on 4 Cylinder Racers

DAVENPORT, IA (Sept 13) - The 4th Annual Fall Spooktacular will be highlighted by a $1,000-to-win feature in the 4-Cylinder Stock class. The Spooktacular, a dirt track stock car racing event, will be held Saturday, September 29th, at the Davenport Speedway, located on the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds. The event is presented by the Quad Cities Racing Connection and Quad City Salvage Auction.

The 4 Cylinder Stock class is run as an entry-level division at most tracks. The Spooktacular is one of the few events where the 4 Cylinder Stocks get to take center stage and are the premiere class. The Spooktacular was also the first race in this region to offer a $1,000-to-win feature for the 4-Cylinders.

Because this is a stock class, the 4 Cylinders are the dirt track racing division that most resembles the vehicles driven everyday on city streets and highways. These racecars usually start as junkyard or salvage vehicles that are given new life as racing machines.

Also racing at the 4th Annual Fall Spooktacular will be V-8 Modifieds, Street Stocks, B-Mods, Hobby Stocks, and Mod Lites.
