Northern SportMod drivers chase new awards from Karl Chevrolet

ANKENY, Iowa (Jan. 9) – Competitors in IMCA’s Northern SportMod class will chase new awards from division title sponsor Karl Chevrolet in 2008.

Drivers participating with crate engines bought from the Ankeny automotive dealership will receive $100 gift cards, good toward any purchase, for each sanctioned feature win this season. Karl will also award the $2,500 point fund to be paid to top 10 drivers in final national standings for 2008, as well as a free crate motor to a Northern SportMod driver attending the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals in September.

“The addition of the $100 gift card program is a fantastic incentive for customers of Karl Chevrolet,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “The neat thing about the program is those gift cards may be redeemed for oil changes, truck accessories, even new or used vehicle purchases in addition to crate motor parts and service for IMCA racers. Over the course of the racing season those cards will really add up to significant discounts.”

Drivers are required to display two Karl Chevrolet decals on their race cars during the regular point season and at Super Nationals; they must compete in at least half the weekly races at an IMCA sanctioned track to be eligible for the crate motor drawing at Boone.
