STEVE CARLSON SET TO RETURN TO HAWKEYE DOWNS CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (April 19) - Defending Lacrosse Fairgrounds Speedway champion and Whelen All-American Series national champion Steve Carlson of West Salem, WI plans to return to Hawkeye Downs Speedway in 2008. According to Tim Jacobs, owner of DMT Motorsports, Carlson will be on hand opening night to join the field of Miller Lite Late Models on the half-mile at Hawkeye Downs. Carlson is expected to run the full season at hawkeye Downs as long as finances allow according to Jacobs. DMT Motorsports field cars driven by Carlson as well as Kevin Nuttleman, and Emily Sue Steck.
