ANKENY, IA (May 5) – On the 2008 opening night at the Stuart Speedway – Stuart Iowa, Kent Croskey drove his GM Performance Parts, 602 Crate Engine, powered IMCA Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod to victory, winning the first IMCA Northern SportMod feature event of season at the Stuart Speedway. Croskey also celebrated his first feature win in a SportMod, after campaigning in a Stock Car during the 2007 season. In addition to the feature winning pay out, Croskey will also receive a $100 “Award Certificate” from IMCA Northern SportMod Title Sponsor, Karl Chevrolet.

Croskeys win will add his name to the growing list of drivers earning 2008 feature event wins in IMCA, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod competition utilizing the GM Performance Parts 602 Crate Engine. Other wins have come from Brett Moffitt (Beatrice, NE Speedway & I-80, NE Speedway), Chris Abelson (Park Jefferson, SD Speedway & I-80, NE Speedway), Brett Meyer (Buena Vista Raceway, Alta, IA & Boone, IA Speedway), Chris Wright (I-70, MO Speedway) and Luke Wanninger (Marshalltown, IA Speedway). The GM Performance Parts 602 crate engine continues to provide the necessary power and reliability to take championship caliber drivers to victory lane.
