ASA Late Model North Championship Highlights Busy Week for
Brett Moffitt
GRIMES, IA (Sept 29) – This week Brett Moffitt and the 5K Motorsports team
will head to Wisconsin for a full slate of racing during “Oktoberfest”,
hosted by the LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway, located in West Salem, WI.
Highlighting the weekend of racing will be the season championship event for
the ASA Late Model North Series, “Oktoberfest 100”, scheduled for Saturday,
October 4th. Moffitt and crew are looking for a strong run going into this,
the final event for the 2008 ASA Late Model North Series, as they have
maintained a lead in the ASA Late Model North Series for “Rookie of the
Year” honors and are firmly sitting in third place in the overall North
Series point standings, behind veteran drivers Jesse Saunders and Eddie
Hoffman.
Also on tap this week, Moffitt and crew are scheduled to compete in three
other events that will make up the “Oktoberfest” week at LaCrosse, including
the Super Lates “Futures Feature” on Thursday night, October 2nd, the “Dick
Trickle 99” for Super Late Models scheduled for Friday night, October 3rd,
and the ASA Midwest Tour Super Late Model “Oktoberfest 100” scheduled for
