Davenport Speedway Season Opener Delayed by Rain  

DAVENPORT, Ia. (April 23, 2010) - Mother Nature threw the red flag at the Davenport Speedway Friday night, forcing cancellation of the Koehler Electric Season Opener. Intermittent rains throughout the day and an inclement forecast for this evening are to blame. 

The season opener will be held at the Davenport quarter-mile dirt oval next Friday, April 30th. Five of the six weekly classes will be competing: Petersen Heating & Plumbing IMCA Late Models, Goacher Towing Pro Mods, Engineered Maintenance Service IMCA Modifieds, Koehler Electric Street Stocks, and 4 Cylinder Stocks. The Bulltown Legends of Iowa INEX Legend Cars will make their 2010 Davenport debut, on Friday, May 7th.
