WEST UNION, IOWA (June 9) - Stop number six was on tap here Wednesday night for the cars and stars of the Dart Corn Belt Clash Series at the Fayette County Speedway in West Union, Iowa. Late models from five states were on hand to do battle and the back and forth racing between Lance Matthees and Adam Hensel had racing fans on the edge of their seats. Jake Meier, and Mathees brought the field around for the green flag with Matthees grabbing the lead with Meier, Scott Reickers, Adam Hensel,and Jeff Aikey in hot pursuit. These five ran this until lap five when Hensel moved to fourth and Chad Simpson winner of the first five features started eleventh tonight and is now running fifth. Matthees still in control and leading brings the field to a halt on lap nine as the first caution is displayed for debris on the backstretch. Matthees grabs the lead on the restart but young Hensel is there battling for the lead and seven circuits later on lap sixteen he dives underneath Matthees for the lead. Hensel would lead for seven laps before Matthees would overtake him for the lead on lap twenty four for good Matthees and Hensel ran one two the rest of the way as they checked out on the field. Chad Simpson came home third, Scott Reichers fourth, Jeff Aikey fifth, Jason Rauen sixth, Curt Martin seventh Chris Simpson eighth, Kevin Sather ninth, with Terry Neal tenth.
