Vault Wins Tornado Tuesday Dollars at Farley

FARLEY, IOWA (July 13, 2010) - Will Vault regained the lead from Chad Simpson on lap seventeen and lead the remaining thirty three laps to win the Harris Golf Carts sponsored Tornado Tuesday super late model event here at the Farley Speedway Tuesday night.

Brian Birkhofer, winner of the fast dash lead the field down the front stretch and motored into the lead leading the first eight laps. Vault then passed Birkhofer for the top spot after a restart and lead through lap fifteen. Chad Simpson  became the third leader of the fifty lapper,but his run to the point was short as Vault managed to get back around Simpson for the lead going down the backstretch on lap seventeen. Vault began to put some distance between himself and second place Birkhofer in the waning laps.A very gracious Vault had these comments in victory lane 'There are a lot of good drivers here,when you beat Brian Birkhofer you beat one of the best "The twenty three year old pilot from crane, missouri, is driving in only his fifth season in super late models. The win worth $10,000 was the teams second as they hauled nine hours one way to compete. Curt Martin who started second enjoyed a stellar run finishing third. Chad Simpson finished fourth,with Jeremiah Hurst who started eleventh came on strong in the end and finished fifth. Chris Simpson placed sixth, Denny Eckrich came from fourteenth to place seventh, Andrew McKay was eighth, Jay Johnson ninth, with Kevin Kile finishing tenth. Brian Birkhofer won the dash over

Curt Martin, Chad Simpson, Will Vault, Andy Eckrich, and Ron Klein .Chris Simpson won the first b-main over Kevin Kile, Mike Fryar, Dan Shelliam, Nick Marolf, and Jeff Larson. Denny Eckrich won the second b-main over Justin Mitchell, Joel Callahan, Jason Rauen, Pete Parker, and Becky Roth.

Matt Greiner proved once again tonight why he is one of the hottest stock car drivers in the region. Greiner who earlier in the evening won his heat and the dash, started on the pole, fought off several caution flags and went onto capture his eighth stock car feature win of the season and the $500 first place prize. Joe Bonney placed third, Cary Brown was fourth,Jerry Miles fifth,Justin Speers sixth,Scott Griffin seventh,David Brandies eighth,K.C.Ansel ninth,with Morris Beatty tenth.Matt Greiner won the dash over Jerry Miles,Cary Brwn,Joe Bonney,Greg Gill,and Wayne Hora.
