Nine Features Headline Sunday Night Racing Card at Dubuque

DUBUQUE, IOWA (July 18, 2010) - Three makeup features and six regularly scheduled features headlined the racing program here at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds Speedway Sunday night.

First event on the track was the makeup stock car feature from July 4th with 5 lpas in the books.Terry Rittmer was the leader and regained the lead when the race restarted.

He lead through lap te.Jerry Miles found the top groove to his liking and on lap eleven took over the point and the lead.One lap later Miles found himself in victory lane.Rittmer finished second,Joe Bonney third,Andy Hedrick fourth,with Ethan Wilder fifth.The makeup twenty lap open wheel modified feature saw the largest car count of the season as several new drivers were on hand as the division went back to the 2009 track rules. On the track though Jason Schueller grabbed the lead from Pete Bonin on lap twp then lead the remaining eighteen laps to record his second win at Dubuque this season. Ryan DeShaw placed second, Pete Bonin was third,Ron Barker fourth,with Tiony VonDresky fifth.

In the limites stock makeup feature Troy Bauer grabbed the lead from Hope Schmerebach on lap six and won that divisions feature for the first  time. Schmerebach was second, Jeremy Campbell third, Jeremy Bickett fourth, with Dalton Soppe fifth.

Doing double duty tonight Tony VonDresky passed Jerry Miles on lap seven,then lead the remaining five laps to win the twelve lap stock car feature for his first victory of the season.Miles with already one feature win on the night placed second,Jon Poll was third, Jeff Brame was fourth with Terry Rittmer fifth.

In the B-Modified class Jed Freiburger has everything clicking just right.Just when it looked like his string of wins could possibly be snapped he found momentum running the top groove of the speedway. He passed leader Dustin Wilwert on the last lap to record his eleventh victory of the season.Wilwert finished second, Josh Chambers who lead the first six laps was third, Bill Campbell Sr. fourth,with B.J.Schmitt fifth.

Tony Von Dresky fresh off his win in the stock car division,climbed into his a-modified,took the lead from Matt Christ on lap five,then lead the remaining fifteen laps to capture his first modified feature win of the season.Timmy Current came from eighteenth back to run second,Ryan DeShaw was third,Jeff Larson fourth,with Jason Schueller fifth.

Jeremy Campbell debuted a new four cylinder and the new one has the same results as the old one. It runs up front. Campbell lead all ten laps in winning the ten lap flyer feature.Reuben Riley was second, Tyler Kelly third,Joey Veach fourth, with Wes Digman fifth.

Tim Schneider survived several cautions to win the ten lap limited stock feature.Jeremy Campbell was second, Hope Schmerebach third, Jeremy Bickett fourth, with Jeff Baker fifth.

Terry Neal took the lead on lap four  and lead the remaining twenty one laps to win the twenty five lap IMCA late model feature.Jeremiah Hurst lead the first three laps but had a broken axle ended his night.Neals win gave him two for the weekend as he won the late model feature saturday night at the jackson county speedway in Maquoketa, Iowa. His win total now stands at seven. Jim, Brokus was second, Joel Callahan third, Bobby Moyer fourth with Dean Wagner fifth..
