Marolf, Dickey, Greiner, Tyler. Slaughter Grab Saturday Night Checkers at West Liberty

WEST LIBERTY, IOWA (August 14, 2010) - Ten year racing veteran Nick Marolf grabbed the lead from his outside front row starting position staved off a couple of  cautions and went on to capture the Precision Transmission twenty five lap late model feature here at the Muscatine.

county fairgrounds and west liberty raceway Saturday night. Marolfs hot rod was fast all twenty five laps leading from flag to flag.Denny Eckrich winner of the Tornado Tuesday event Tuesday night started ninth on the grid and finished second.

Kevin Kile started third and finished third,Andy Eckrich who was up as high as second and darted in the pits on a cautionon lap fourteen with a loose oil line,came through the field to run fourth,while pole sitter Mike Klinkhammer placed fifth.

Second generation driver Scott Dickey passed Adam Bell on lap four and lead the remaining sixteen laps to notch his first Gustaf Engine and Machine open wheel modified twenty lap feature victory of the season.Dickey who started sxth on the grid was followed across the line by Bruce Hanford who came from fifth to run second,fast Larry Herring who started twelfth and ended up third,seventh starting Johnny Spaw was fourth,while Noah Coppess who started tenth wound up fifth.

David Brandies lead it for three laps,Scotty Pratt laps four through eight,with Matt Greiner passing Pratt on the high side coming out of turn four on lap nine going on to lead the next six laps in notching his thirteenth Kile Motrorsports Stock Car feature win of the season.Quite a remarkable run for the driver from washington,iowa.Scotty Pratt was second, David Brandies third,Greg Gill fourth,with Justin Speers fifth.

Brad Tyler grabbed the lead at the outset and went on to win the fifteen lap Spenler Tire B-Mod feature event his eighth win of the season,leading from flag to flag.Zack Less was second,Rick Housman third,Scott VanBuskirk fourth,with Dan Hahn fifth.

Shaun Slaughter passed Tyler Kelly with three laps remaining to win his eighth US6 Body Works farley flyers feature victory of the season.Kelly who finished second,saw Rickey Kay run third,Daniel Campbell fourth,with Jeff Miller fifth.
