Four Top Tens For Jason Rauen; Busy Week Ahead

FARLEY, IOWA (August 31, 2010) - Jason Rauen has been extremely busy over the past few weeks in his #98 Rauen Motorsports/Victory Circle M1 Chassis Late Model, and the upcoming week will be no different.

Last week, Jason entered four events and came away with four top ten finishes to show for his efforts.

Jason returned to action on Wednesday, August 25th with the Corn Belt Clash Series at Cedar County Raceway in Tipton, Iowa. Via preliminaries, Rauen locked into the third starting position for the 35 lap feature.  Rauen would battle throughout the top ten for much of the event before settling for a fourth place finish behind event winner, Jeff Aikey, Justin Kay, and Denny Eckrich.

Another Corn Belt Clash Event was held on Thursday night, August 26th at Highway 3 Raceway in Allison, Iowa. Jason would start the night strong once again as he won his heat race.  For the majority of the feature he would run second and use the low line to challenge the leader, but in the closing laps his tires began to go away, and he would ultimately fade to a fourth place finish behind race winner, Kurt Kile, Chad Simpson, and Chris Simpson.

Jason was back in action with the Corn Belt Clash tour on Friday night, August 27th at Chateau Speedway in Lansing, Minnesota.  For the third night in a row, Rauen would win his heat race and would go on to record another fourth place finish in the feature.

Jason entered a Weekly Racing Series Event on Saturday night at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minnesota on Saturday, August 28th.  After finishing second in his heat race, Rauen would charge to the lead early in the feature then slipped back to the second spot.  On a late race restart, he would slip out of the racing groove and would fall back to an 8th place finish.

The upcoming week is packed with events for the team and will start with an event on Thursday, September 3rd at Farley Speedway (Farley, Iowa).  On Saturday, September 4th the team will travel to Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) for a Corn Belt Clash event before moving on to Dubuque Speedway (Dubuque, Iowa) for a Weekly Racing Series Event on Sunday, September 5th.

The team will travel to Boone Speedway (Boone, Iowa) on Monday, September 6th to begin their pursuit of the IMCA Late Model Championship portion of the IMCA Speedway Motors Boone Super Nationals.
