Deery double-dip kicks off DRT TRAK RACING 2011 season

DAVENPORT, Ia. (April 11, 2011) – With winter finally behind us, it is time to jumpstart the 2011 local racing season.

The Deery Brothers Summer Series for IMCA Late Models will make their annual pilgrimage to a pair of Eastern Iowa racetracks next weekend for two nights of exciting stock car action. The series will visit the Davenport Speedway Friday, April 15th, and the Jackson County Speedway in Maquoketa on Saturday, April 16th.

Both tracks are promoted by DRT TRAK Racing Inc. and the main event each night will pay $2,000 to win.

The Davenport race will be the 17th time the traveling series has appeared at the Davenport Speedway. The series first visited the Davenport speedplant in 1987.

Twelve different drivers have captured Deery Brothers wins at Davenport. Ray Guss Jr. of Milan, Ill., was last year’s winner at Davenport,  and went on to win the series championship.

Saturday’s race at JCS will be the ninth time the stars and cars of the Deery Series have visited Maquoketa. The winningest driver in Deery Brothers Summer Series history, Jeff Aikey of Waterloo, was last year’s winner at Maquoketa.

DRT TRAK Racing Inc., is pleased to welcome Karsyn’s Krusaders as a special guest at both Deery Brothers shows.
