DIRT RACER MAGAZINE to offer Double Dip Bonus

DAVENPORT, IA. (May 18, 2011) – Dirt Racer Magazine is adding some extra incentive to one lucky driver at the two IMCA Modified Shootouts  held this Memorial Day weekend. The magazine will pay a $100 bonus to the driver who wins both IMCA Modified Shootout events.

Add the first place money and the Dirt Racer Magazine Double Dip Bonus, it means that the driver who can win both races will walk away with $4,100, for two nights of work.

Dirt Racer Magazine covers dirt track stock car racing in the greater Quad City area. The magazine is distributed free of charge at area racetracks.

The first shootout will be at the Davenport Speedway Friday, May 27th, and the second at the Jackson County Speedway in Maquoketa on Saturday, May 28th. Both tracks are promoted by DRT TRAK Racing Inc. and the main event each night will pay $2,000 to win.

The IMCA Modified features will be 40-laps, with 20 cars making the main on both nights. There will be a $50 entry fee for IMCA Modifieds at each track.

Pit gates at Davenport open at 4 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30pm and racing starts at 7pm. The Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street, in Davenport.

Pit gates at Maquoketa open at 4 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:00pm and racing starts at 6:30pm. The Jackson County Speedway is located at the Jackson County Fairgrounds, in Maquoketa.
