Springsteen, Dolan, Greiner, Chandler Grab Saturday Night Victories at West Liberty

WEST LIBERTY. IA (May 22, 2011) - Colby Springsteen passed earlier leader Travis Smock after a restart on lap thirteen and lead the remaining twelve laps to win his first IMCA late model feature victory of the season here at the Muscatine County Faigrounds an west liberty raceway Saturday night. Smock who had built a real nice lead up to that point was passed by Springsteen on the restart, with Nick Marolf joining the hunt, and Andy Eckrich who already having a triumphant week moving into the top three, however neither Marolf or Eckrich had any thing for Springsteen in the end as he was victorious. Marolf, Eckrich, Smock, and Tommy Elston finished second through fifth,

The high plains drifter Ryan Dolan passed Noah Coppess on lap sixteen and lead the remaining four laps to win the twenty lap Gustaf Engine and Machine open modified feature his first in that division this season. Coppess lead the first fifteen laps but felt late race pressure from eventual winner Dolan and second place finisher in a strong outing Todd Hansen.Coppes placed third, 2010 track champion Larry Herring fourth, with Jason Speers fifth.

The Kile Motorsports IMCA type stock car division is getting bigger in numbers as saturday night eleven drivers showed up an Matt Greiner nabbed his third win overall of the season.Mark Massey placed second,Travis Finke third,Thad Payne fourth,with David Brandies fifth.

In the IMCA Sport Compacts Nathan Chandler lead the ten lapper from flag to flag for his first win of the season.Father Merv was second,brother Brad third, Mike Marrow fourth,with Dewayne Herb fifth

In the IMCA type modified feature Justin Speers won the fifteen lap feature but after post race inspection he was caught with and oversized chip giving the win to second place finisher Ryan Dolan his fourth in that division this season.Dakota Hayden was second,Mark Schulte third,Larry Herring fourth,with Bub Irwin fifth.
