Davenport Speedway IMCA Modified Shootout rescheduled

DAVENPORT, Ia. (May 27, 2011) – A light, but steady rain started falling at the Davenport Speedway just before 6p.m. The rain was just enough to wash out tonight’s IMCA Modified Shootout. The event has been rescheduled for next Friday, June 3rd.

Before the event was rained out, an excellent field of racecars were on hand for the $2,000-to-win event. In addition to a top notch field of local modified drivers, there were a number of traveling racers that made the trip to Davenport. Checked into the pit area were Iowa natives Ron Barker, Jay Noteboom, and Darin Duffy, as well as David Murray Jr. from Kansas, and California transplant Kellen Chadwick.

At the time of this release, the IMCA Modified Shootout at the Jackson County Speedway in Maquoketa, is still on for Saturday, May 28th. Pit gates at Maquoketa open at 4 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:00pm and racing starts at 6:30pm. The Jackson County Speedway is located at the Jackson County Fairgrounds, in Maquoketa.
