Marolf Dickey Greiner Hansen Whelen Claim Saturday Night Wins at West Liberty

WEST LIBERTY, IA (June 18, 2011) - Nick Marolf passed early race leader Nate Beusling late in the race and went on to capture the I-Wireless IMCA Late Model 25 lap feature here at the West Liberty Raceway Saturday night. The win for Nick Marolf was his first of the season. Andy Eckerich finished second after starting eighth, Mike Klinkhammer last weeks feature winner was third,Nate Beusling the early leader was fourth, with Brian Harris coming through the pack from thirteenth to fifth.

In the Gustaf Engine and Machine Modified Division Scott Dickey haden't had things go his way until saturday night.Tonight was the first feature he had made all year here and he did it in style.He sat on the pole and blistered the rest of the competition easily as he won his first feature of the 2011 campaign over Ryan Dolan,Bruce Hanford,Chris Zogg,and Todd Hansen who finished second through fifth.

In the Kile Motorsports Stock Car feature David Brandies and Matt Greiner battled before Greiner edged ahead for the lead for good as he went on to win the twelve lap stock car feature for his sixth win of the year.David Brandies was second,Cody Harris his best run to date third, Chris Hinrichs fourth his best finish as well, with Travis Finke fifth.

In the Spenler Tire IMCA Type Modified division Todd Hansen passed Bub Erwin on the second lap and set sail as he went on to lead the remaing ten laps winning his third IMCA modified feature victory in a row here at the speedway. Larry Herring placed second, Dakota Hayden third, Mark Schulte fourth, with Rick Housman fifth.

In The US6 Body Works IMCA Sport Compacts Bill Whalen held off challenges from Nathan Chandler to capture his third win of the season overall.John Whalen finished third,Mike Morrow fourth,with Merv Chandler fifth.
