Neal Freiburger Current Widemeier Aschenbrenner Zrostlik Score Sunday Wins at Dubuque

DUBUQUE, IA (July 17, 2011) - Veteran Terry Neal jumped into the lead here early on and went onto capture the twenty five lap IMCA late model feature race here at the Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway Sunday evening on a hot and steamy night for racing. Neal the 2010 track champion chalked up his ninth win of the season in the process,was followed across the line by,Jim Brokus in second, Todd Cooney making the long tow from Des Moines to capture third place, Jon Merfeld his best run of the season finishing fourth, with Ron Klein his first night out placing fifth.

Eleven year racing veteran Jed Freiburger grabbed the lead early on then held off challenges from Ronnie Barker to capture his first ever IMCA type modified feature victory. winning the twenty lap feature his first of the season. Freiburgers battle with Barker was neck

and neck for several laps until Jed won his first win of the year with Barker placing second,with Dave McClain third,Mark Schulte fourth,and Jason Schueller fifth.

In the SPI stock car class twelve year racing veteran Timmy Current notched his third win of the weekend beating Wayne Hora at the line by a fender,and with these three wins Timmy Current now has 100 career stock car wins.Wayne Hora placed second,Jerry Miles third,Terry Rittmer fourth,withTyler Soppe fifth.

In the IMCA type Hobby Stock class Nick Widemeier grabbed the lead early on and went on to capture his third win of the 2011 racing season. Lee Kinsella was second, Brandon Beschen third, Jeremy Campbell fourth,with Donnie Dean in a brand new car and new look fifth.

In the IMCA type sport mods Jim Aschenbrenner grabbed the lead from Matt Miller on the fourth lap and went onto capture the twelve lap sport mod feature his second of the season. Matt Miller was second, Hope Schmerebach third, Craig Enke fourth with Travis Winker fifth.

In the IMCA type sport compact Joe Zrostlik grabbed the lead early on and went on to capture the ten lap main event.John Flury was second, Lance Butson third, Jack Jeullson fourth, with Derek Mc Bee fifth.
