DUBUQUE, IA (July 31, 2011) - Unlike Wednesday night when fourteen inches of rain fell on this Eastern Iowa Community thus earlier in the evening canceling night one of the two day fair racing week, Sundays program went on as planned after track personnel worked long and hard getting everything back in order from Wednesday nights torrential rains. In the Wenzel Towing IMCA late model thirty five lap feature pole sitter Terry Neal grabbed the lead at the outset and lead all but one lap in recording his ninth win o the season and pocketed the 1100 first place prize. Tyler Breuning placed second, Dan Shelliam was third, Joel Callahan fourth, with Luke Goedert fifth. In the Dubuque Moving and Storage IMCA type modifieds veteran Ron Barker changed a flat on lap one,restarted at the rear of the twenty two car starting grid,charged through the field,and went on to notch his eighth modified feature victory of the 2011season. Tony VonDresky made a charge from the back of the pack to finish second as well,J.D.Auringer was third, Pete Bonin fourth, with Brandon Wilson fifth. In the Epworth Cabinet Shop SPI Stock cars fifteen lap feature Jerry Miles grabbed the lead from Wayne Hora for good on lap eleven and lead the next four laps for his sixth feature win of the season.Wayne Hora was second,Terry Rittmer third,Mark Massey fourth, with Ethan Milder fifth. Brandon Beschen grabbed the lead early on and never looked back reroute to his third A and B IMCA type Hobby Stock feature win. Nick Widemeier was second, Rob Clifton third, Wes Helms fourth, with Lee Kinsella fifth. In the Auto Accessory and Install IMCA type Sport Modifieds twelve lap feature Josh Sherbon started last on the grid, passed leader Hope Schmerebach on lap six and went on to record his eighth feature win of the season leading the final six laps to victory. Austin Moyer was second, Hope Schmerebach third, Matt Miller fourth, with Jim Turpin fifth. John Flury passed teamate Pat Quinn on the second lap and went on to record his eleventh feature win of the season in the sport compact division.Pat Quinn was second, Pat Schmidt third, Eric Youngblood fourth, with Josh Chambers fifth. No racing at Dubuque on the 7th as racing resumes here on the 14th.
