WEST LIBERTY, (August 20, 2011) - Once the early evening persistent rain showers passed racing action resumed here and racing action was completed at the Muscatine county fairgrounds home of the West Liberty Raceway Saturday night. In the IMCA I-Wireless twenty five lap late model feature Andy Eckrich passed Jeff Guengrich after a late race restart and went on to record his fifth late model victory of the season. Guengricg finished second,, Tommy Elston was third, Kevin Kile fourth, with hard charging Nate Beusling from eleventh starting to fifth. In the SPI Modified division the high plains drifter Ryan Dolan passed Scott Dickey on lap eight and never looked back enroute to his fifteenth feature win of the 2011 racing campaigh. Kurt Kile finished a strong second, Scott Dickey was third, Scott Heeron fourth, with Chris Zogg fifth. In the Kile Motorsports fifteen lap stock car feature fourteen year veteran Andrew Burke got his first win here at the speedway and second on the season leading laps five through twelve for the victory.Brian Holmes was second,Rod Staats third,Josh Woods fourth, with Cody Harris fifth. In the Spenler Tire IMCA type twelve lap modified feature Mark Schulte passed Todd Hansen on lap seven and went on to capture his third feature win of the season. Hansen finished second, Larry Herring was third,Chris Horn fourth,with Dakota Hayden fifth. In the US6 Body Works IMCA Sport Compact feature Tyler Whalen took the lead from Ryan Walker on lap four and lead the remaining six laps to garner his fifteenth feature win this season in this division. Brad Chandler was second, Nathan Chandler third, Ryan Walker fourth, with Bill Whalen fifth. Next Saturday night September 27 will be season championships in all five divisions at the raceway.
