Final JR Motorsports Hawkeye Dirt Tour features at Marshalltown’s Havoc on the High Banks special

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (Sept. 21) – IMCA Modified features tote $1,000 top checks on both nights of Marshalltown Speedway’s Friday and Saturday, Sept. 23-24 Havoc on the High Banks special.

Modified main events double as the final JR Motorsports Hawkeye Dirt Tour races of the season and are also qualifiers for the 2012 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.

A minimum of $150 will be paid to start each night. Mark Elliott of Webster City, the only driver with two wins through the first nine series events, is the new point leader. Jeff Waterman, Ronn Lauritzen and Mark Schulte all remain in mathematical contention for the tour title.

IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods race for $500 to win Friday and Saturday night. IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks chase $300 top checks win both nights. Mach-1 Sport Compacts race for $100 to win on Saturday.

National, regional and All-Star Performance State points will be awarded to Modified, Stock Car and Hobby Stock drivers. SportMod and Sport Compact drivers earn national and state points.

Gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. both days. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.

Pit passes are $25. Spectator admission is $12 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under.
