RPM Speedway releases 2007 race schedule

HAYS, KS (March 27, 2007) - Rolling Plains Motor Speedway in Hays, KS, has announced their race schedule for the upcoming season.

The 11-race schedule will feature a new division to the speedway. The Sport Compact class has been added to replace the Bomber division, which has been dropped. The Sport Compact is a 4-cylinder class geared toward younger drivers who are interested in getting into auto racing. The Sport Compacts will join the IMCA-sanctioned Modifieds, Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks each race night.

The season kicks off Memorial weekend on Friday, May 25, and concludes with the 2-day Fall Nationals on Friday and Saturday, September 21-22.

Sprint Car fans will see plenty of action as the URSS 305 Sprint Cars will return twice during the summer, as well as an appearance by the NCRA 360 Sprint Cars during the fair races. The American Sprint Car Series will also invade the 3/8-mile oval Labor Day weekend.

The Blood, Sweat & Tears (BST) IMCA Modified Series from Colorado will visit Hays twice this season, and fans will also get to see the Mod Lites and Dwarf Cars in action.

Fans will also have a chance to take Monster Truck rides on a couple of occasions, and Bobby Cox the clown will entertain everyone on August 11.

Other special activities are also being planned, so make plans now to visit the speedway this summer.
