Fast October Comes to Lakeside Speedway 
KANSAS CITY, KS (July 19) - While many people will be attending the many 
different Festivals this October, only one place in Kansas City will hold a 
‘FESTIVAL OF SPEED’, Lakeside Speedway. 
For the first time in many years, the racing season will be extended throughout 
the month of October. The four Fast October nights will be run at the speedway 
Saturday night, October 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th. 
For the fans: Spectator gates will open at 4, hot laps at 6 and the first race 
is at 6:30 each night. Adult tickets will be $8.00; kids 8 to 14 are $5.00 and 
children 7 and under are free. There will be nightly drink and food specials 
every Saturday night. 
For the competitors: This will be a series of non-point races. Draws will be 
held each night. Pit passes are $15.00 for anyone aged 14 and older. First time 
competitors (16 and older) must pay a one time registration fee of $30.00. No 
reserved pit stalls, first come, first taken. Lakeside Speedway Modified, Grand 
National and Factory Stock rules (please read Lakeside safety rules carefully) 
will apply with the following exceptions; 
Tires for all three classes: McCreary American Racer G-60 or Hoosier G-60-15, 
with IMCA sidewall stamp. 
Modifieds: Jayhawk Modified Classic Rules will apply. 
Safety: Head and neck restraint system highly recommended but not required. 
Factory Stocks: Lakeside Factory Stocks, IMCA Street Stocks, IMCA Hobby Stocks, 
Valley Speedway Street Stocks, Central Missouri Speedway Street Stocks, 
Heartland Park Topeka Street and Hobby Stocks, Humboldt Speedway Factory and 
Hobby Stocks will be allowed to compete. 
Minimum weight: 3,200 lbs 
Carburetor: Must meet your home track rules. OEM 4 Barrel for engines less than 
371 cubic inch, engines larger than 370 must use the Holley 4412 
Body: No Spoilers 
Safety: Head and neck restraint system highly recommended but not required 
Grand Nationals: Lakeside Grand Nationals, Adrian Street Stocks, U.S. 36 Raceway 
Grand Nationals will be allowed to compete. 
Minimum weight: 2,800lbs 
Safety: head and neck restraint system highly recommended but not reuired 
Each classes race night purse based on a minimum of 32 entries per class.
