WaKEENEY, Kan. (March 21) – Four IMCA divisions see action when WaKeeney Speedway opens the new race season with its Saturday, March 26 Spring Fling special. IMCA Modifieds run for $1,000 to win in their Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. Top prize for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars is $600, with $500 paid to win in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and $400 to win in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. All applicable points will be awarded. Pit gates open at noon, the grandstand opens at 1 p.m., hot laps are at 2 p.m. and racing starts at 3 p.m. Grandstand admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids and free for youngsters five and under. Pit passes are $25. Test and tune is from 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 25. Rain date for the Spring Fling is Sunday, March 27.
