NATIONAL SPRINT CAR HALL OF FAME (NSCHoF)
INDUCTION BANQUET TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE
by: Thomas J Schmeh

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (April 14, 2006) - While June 2-4 might still seem like a long way off to many, staffers at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame (NSCHoF) are busy planning the seventeenth annual NSCHoF induction weekend in Knoxville. According to executive director Tom Schmeh, “The official invitations were mailed this week to this year’s inductees, past inductees, the board of directors, and the National Induction Committee members. The Saturday afternoon, June 3, induction banquet tickets are now on sale to the general public, too, for twenty dollars apiece. We are very excited about welcoming this year’s class of inductees into the Hall, including Rickey Hood, Lee Kunzman, Jimmy Sills, Sammy Swindell, ‘Buster’ Warke, Lanny Edwards and ‘Buzz’ Rose.”

“In addition, we look forward to hosting the families and friends of Johnny Hannon, Francis Quinn, Bob Pankratz, Jud Phillips, 'Pappy' Weld and Ted Wilson. It’s going to be another magical weekend, with early commitments from such past inductees as Chris Economaki, Lynn Paxton, Ray Tilley, Ray Lee Goodwin, Bob Trostle, Greg Weld, ‘Hooker’ Hood and others. Veteran historians Dave Argabright and Pat Sullivan will again emcee the afternoon affair. And then for Knoxville Raceway to be hosting the United States Auto Club national midget car series, the age-fifty-plus ‘Masters’, the ‘360 Young Guns’ and the stars of the weekly 410-cubic-inch sprint car division that weekend… wow!,” said Schmeh.

Those individuals wishing to purchase induction banquet tickets are encouraged to call administrative assistant Lori DeMoss at 1-800-874-4488. Those seeking more information on the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame are encouraged to visit the web site at www.sprintcarhof.com.
