MUSEUM SEEKING PHOTOS FOR “SALUTE TO THE SHOOTERS”

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (Feb. 2, 2007) - The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum 
is currently arranging an exhibition entitled “Salute to the Shooters”, which 
will honor sprint car racing photographers, amateur and professional. 
Twenty-five photos will be selected, matted and framed for the three-month 
exhibition, which will begin in early April, in the non-profit museum in 
Knoxville. The exhibition marks the second time in the 15-year history of the 
museum that photographers will have a special presentation of their work on 
display in the main hall, which is open seven days a week, year-round. Amongst 
those 'shooters' that have been honored by induction into the National Sprint 
Car Hall of Fame are Bruce Craig, Armin Krueger, John Mahoney, Ted Wilson and 
soon-to-be-honored Ken Coles.
Photographers that have taken a unique and favorite photograph involving ‘big 
car’, sprint car or super-modified racing and would like to submit it for 
consideration are urged to send it to Tom Schmeh, National Sprint Car Hall of 
Fame & Museum, One Sprint Capital Place, P.O. Box 542, Knoxville, Iowa 50138. 
The photo will become property of the museum and will never be used for 
commercial gain unless specific approval is given for such, nor will it ever be 
used without proper photo credit given. Only one photographic entry per 
photographer will be considered. It should be accompanied by name of 
photographer, identification of subject material, and date and location that the 
photo was taken.
