128 DRIVERS INVERSION-ELIGIBLE FOR KNOXVILLE WORLD CHALLENGE

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (January 28, 2008) - Following this past weekend’s Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic (GASC) at the Premier Speedway at Sungold Stadium in Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia, the list of those drivers that are inversion-eligible for the Friday, August 8, World Challenge at Knoxville Raceway is now final. Besides GASC winner Kerry Madsen and fellow Australians A.J. “Skip” Jackson and Brooke Tatnell, those Americans that became eligible at Warrnambool include North Dakota’s Mark Dobmeier, Louisiana’s Jason Johnson and Ohio’s Greg Wilson. In all, 128 drivers are now inversion-eligible for the $10,000-to-win event during the SuperClean Knoxville Nationals, presented by Factory Value Parts.

The GASC date followed those international qualifiers held at the Ohsweken (Ontario, Canada) Speedway, the Castrol Raceway (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada), the Western Springs Speedway (Auckland, North Island, New Zealand) and the Blue Chip Speedway at Baypark Stadium (Mount Maunganui, North Island, New Zealand). As a result of all five international qualifiers, those already inversion-eligible for the fifteenth annual Knoxville World Challenge on Friday, August 8, at Knoxville Raceway are:
