SCHMEH TO BECOME CURATOR,
NATIONAL SPRINT CAR HALL OF FAME TO HIRE NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

KNOXVILLE, IA (Feb 4) - The Board of Directors of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum Foundation, Inc. announced that Tom Schmeh will assume a newly-established curator position within the Hall of Fame & Museum, and the Board has begun actively seeking to fill the position of Executive Director.

Mike Brooks, President of the NSCHoF Board of Directors, said that the NSCHoF Board recently voted to grant Schmeh's request to relinquish the role of Executive Director and to transition into a new position as Curator of the Museum. “We greatly appreciate the many years of dedicated service that Tom has provided to the Hall of Fame and we look forward to his continued contributions and insights in his new role.”

The Knoxville, Iowa-based Foundation is looking to expand its role in preserving the history of sprint car racing and promoting the sport’s future.

The move marks a reinvigoration of the Foundation’s outreach to the sprint car racing community, and a revitalization of the majestic Hall of Fame & Museum, which sits just outside turn two of the legendary Knoxville Raceway.

The responsibilities of the new Executive Director will include (but are not limited to) day-to-day operation of the museum and foundation, as well as overseeing fund raising programs. And, the Board is seeking applicants with strong people and management skills, business management and/or marketing experience.

Applicants are invited to submit a resume along with a brief description of a vision for furthering the efforts of the Foundation if selected for this position. Contact Louis C.
