‘Down Under’ MyRaceLife.com World Challenge Qualifiers Next Up on the Schedule

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (Dec 18, 2008) - Following the completion of this Fall’s two Canadian qualifiers for the Friday, August 14, 2009, MyRaceLife.com World Challenge at the Super Clean Knoxville Nationals, presented by Lucas Oil, the next three qualifiers are set to happen ‘Down Under’ in the next six weeks. They are as follows:

December 26, 2008 - Western Springs Speedway; Auckland, North Island, New Zealand - Thunder DownUnder International Sprint Car Classic (410's)

January 2-3, 2009 - Baypark Speedway; Mount Maunganui, North Island, New Zealand - New Zealand Sprint Car Grand Prix (410's)

January 24-25, 2009 - Sungold Stadium at Premier Speedway; Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia - $30,000-to-win The Standard Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic (410's)

According to Knoxville Raceway’s Ralph Capitani, “It is especially important for American sprint car drivers to know which events in Australia and New Zealand are qualifiers for this coming year’s $10,000-to-win MyRaceLife.com World Challenge as Americans are not eligible to qualify through the events in eastern and western Canada. Those American and international drivers competing in one of the five designated qualifiers and competing in the 2009 Knoxville Nationals will again be inversion-eligible for the MyRaceLife.com World Challenge on August 14.”

Those drivers that are inversion-eligible for 2009 following the events in Ohsweken, Ontario, and Edmonton, Alberta, are as follows:
