NATIONAL SPRINT CAR MUSEUM SETS THEATER SCHEDULE FOR 2010 GOODYEAR KNOXVILLE NATIONALS

KNOXVILLE, IOWA  (May 10, 2010)  -  Less than two weeks after announcing the schedule for the 2010 Knoxville Nationals Fan Fair in its first-floor museum, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame has set the agenda for its second-floor theater for the four days of the 50th annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals, August 11-14.  The 40-seat theater, completed one year ago, was generously funded by U.S. Tobacco, an Altria Company.

According to museum executive director Bob Baker, “We had so many positive responses last year about showing past Knoxville Sprint Car National Championship competitions that we decided to do it again during the fiftieth annual event.  We will actually start on Tuesday, August 10, making it a five-day marathon culminating on late Saturday afternoon with Donny Schatz’s fourth consecutive win in 2009.  We have to thank Jeff Grummer (1980-89), Gary Mallonee (1980-89), Roger Arndt (1983-86), Grant Rankin (1987-92), Marc Orgera (1987-90, ’92), and Kris Krohn (1993-2009) for their contributions to this effort.”
