Pre-Entry Deadlines Fast Approaching at Knoxville Raceway
by: Brian Stickel

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (July 8, 2011) - The pre-entry deadlines are fast-approaching for the Premier Chevy Dealers Knoxville World Challenge and the United States Auto Club (USAC) Non-Winged Knoxville Nationals - as they are July 12 and July 15, respectively.

While there is no entry fee for the $10,000-to-win World Challenge International Invitational, to be held on Friday, August 12, there is a cost savings to pre-enter the USAC race at Knoxville Raceway on Sunday, August 7.  The entry forms can be found on-line at the track's web site http://www.knoxvilleraceway.com/Files/Entry-Forms

According to Knoxville Raceway director of racing Ralph 'Cappy' Capitani, some of the best-of-the-best have already entered in both shows, including Sammy Swindell, Joey Saldana, Jason Meyers, Craig Dollansky, Jason Sides, Jason Johnson, Shane Stewart, Jonathan Allard and Brooke Tatnell in the World Challenge, and Chris Windom, Levi Jones, Jon Stanbrough, Damion Gardner, Robert Ballou and Daron Clayton in the Non-Winged Nationals.

"But we're wondering where the entry forms are for the other international drivers and the other USAC and independent drivers," said Capitani. "We are putting good money up for the Arnold Motor Supply 360 Knoxville Nationals, the Non-Winged Knoxville Nationals, the Premier Chevy Dealers World Challenge and the Goodyear Knoxville Nationals, so we would appreciate the cooperation from the teams in getting their entries in early so we can promote their appearances during the Cox Design Iowa Speed Week, August 4-13."
