SATURDAY MEANS MEMORABILIA AUCTION, SAN JOSE, DEVIL’S BOWL, SPRINT CAR STAR FILMS & MORE AT SPRINT CAR MUSEUM

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (August 12, 2011) – Saturday at the National Sprint Car Museum means memorabilia auction, historical forums on the San Jose and Devil’s Bowl tracks, films about Steve Kinser, Doug Wolfgang, Kenny Jacobs, Brad Doty, Jac Haudenschild, Larry Dickson, Gary Bettenhausen, Tommy Hinnershitz and Harold Leep, and a whole bunch more…

The live auction of memorabilia from the worlds of sprint car racing, NASCAR, Indy Car and NHRA starts at 12:30 p.m. on the air-conditioned second floor of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum. Most of the items that are up for auction are unique, autographed, and hard to find elsewhere..

The schedule for the sixth annual Knoxville Nationals Fan Fair, to be held in the first floor, east wing, of the Donald Lamberti National Sprint Car Museum is as follows:

11 a.m. – “San Jose Speedway & the Hardtop Era” with host Les Randall,
1 p.m. – “A.D. & ‘Jiggs’ Trowell Racing Memories/Devil’s Bowl Speedway History” with host Teresa Adrian,
3 p.m. – “Lucky Louis LeCocq, 1892-1919” by Bruce Boertje.

Saturday’s schedule for the theater, located on the second floor, west wing, of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum, is as follows:

10 a.m. - “The Legends: Brad Doty, Jac Haudenschild & Kenny Jacobs”

11:45 a.m. – “Doug Wolfgang – Winners” by Greg Stephens,

1:15 p.m. - “The Flying Dutchman, Tommy Hinnershitz” by Dale Snyder,
2:30 p.m. – “Harold Leep” by I-Deal Productions.

The schedule for the “Sixty Minutes in the Trostle Garage with…” autograph sessions in the Donald Lamberti National Sprint Car Museum is as follows:

1:30 p.m. – Dakota Carroll,
3:30 p.m. – Bob Trostle, Kenny Jacobs & Jac Haudenschild.
