Shiverfest B-Mods Get Some Kansas City Area Support

DONNELLSON, IA (Oct. 14, 2006) - The purse for the B-Modified division at this year’s version of Shiverfest has just grown due to support from some great racing people in the Kansas City area. Andrew Brown & Foulke, LLC, an interior design company located in Peculiar Missouri has donated $100 to this year’s Purse Sponsorship program where the donation will be split equally across the top ten positions in the B-Modified purse. In conjunction with this, Meeker Motorsports has also made a $50 donation with the request that these funds are to be spread out evenly through positions eleven to twenty for the B-Modifieds.

Jeff Meeker and Meeker Motorsports campaign a B-Modified at the short tracks around Kansas City and they are looking forward to making the trip to the Lee County Speedway next Saturday.


Shiverfest has had the pleasure of hosting some Kansas City area drivers the past couple of years. Aaron Poe of Warrensburg posted a top ten finish in the Modified main event two years ago and both he and Chad Shaw of Trimble made the trip to southeast Iowa last October. Drivers from Trenton, Milan and Boonville made the trip up last year as well.

Pit gates will open at noon on October 21st and drivers are encouraged to arrive early. The pill draw will end at 3:00 p.m. as the drivers’ meeting begins and hot laps will get underway at 3:15. Drivers who would like to participate in trick-or-treating for the kids should have their car and their treats ready to go to the infield at 4:00 and green flag racing will get underway at 4:30 p.m..
