Budweiser Joins The Party at Shiverfest

DONNELLSON, IA. (Oct, 17, 2006) - The Stock Car division at this Saturday’s Shiverfest event at the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson will see some extra money and the drivers, crews and fans who choose to partake afterward will benefit as well with the support of Budweiser. The “King of Beers” has chipped in $100 to the Stock Car purse and will donate a keg to be tapped during the bon fire to be held after the races this Saturday night.

Golden Eagle Distributing and Budweiser are consistent supporters of the Lee County Speedway and this commitment to Shiverfest continues their involvement with the racers and fans of the area.

Pit gates will open at noon on October 21st and drivers are encouraged to arrive early. The pill draw will end at 3:00 p.m. as the drivers’ meeting begins and hot laps will get underway at 3:15. Drivers who would like to participate in trick-or-treating for the kids should have their car and their treats ready to go to the infield at 4:00 and green flag racing will get underway at 4:30 p.m.. Sunday October 22nd will be used as a rain date if needed.
