Lee County Speedway Car Show this Saturday

DONNELLSON, IA (April 10, 2008) – The 2008 racing season continues to draw nearer for Lee County Speedway. This Saturday, April 12, the first official event of the season kicks off with the annual LCS Car Show at Shottenkirk in Fort Madison, Iowa.

Cars will be on display at the GM Giant from 10am until 3pm. There is plenty of space available for anyone in any class that would like to showcase their cars and sponsors. Free hot dogs and Pepsi products will be available. Each driver in attendance will receive one free pit pass good for any show in 2008.

On Friday, April 18, an open practice will begin at 7pm on the fairgrounds 3/8-mile. All classes, including Sprint Cars, are welcome to attend. Pit passes are $15. Food and drink will be available in the pits. Grandstand admission is free, however, the kitchen will remain closed. The track will be open for approximately 2 ½ hours.

The season opener is slated for Friday, April 25. Five classes of cars will take to the track including the IMCA J&J Steel Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, Hobby Stocks, and Wild Things. The SportMod / B-Mods will take the night off.
