Feinberg’s Metals Recycling presents the Lee County Speedway opener Friday

DONNELLSON, IA (April 30, 2008) – After the scheduled opening night fell to Mother Nature, Lee County Speedway will try again this Friday, May 2, as Feinberg’s Metals Recycling presents the IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing program. Title defenses begin for Kevin Cale (IMCA Modified), Jeff Mueller (IMCA Stock Car), Doug Fenton (Hobby Stock), Jeff Waterman (SportMod), and Travis DeMint (Wild Thing).

Residents that show proof of identification from Donnellson, Montrose, Argyle, and Farmington will be admitted free as the popular Community Night returns.

The Miller Lite IMCA Modifieds, Budweiser IMCA Stock Cars, Donnellson Tire Hobby Stocks, Lawson Racing SportMods, and Shottenkirk Parts Express Wild Things will take center stage as Hot Laps are scheduled for 7pm. Racing will follow at 7:30. General admission is
$8 for Adults, $7 for Students and Seniors (11-17,
60+), and Free for Kids (10 and under). Pit passes are
$20.

Fantasy Racing is also coming to Lee County Speedway in 2008. Race fans are encouraged to pick up an entry form at the Souvenir Booth and choose five competitors from any class in competition during the night. Your picks will be scored according to the IMCA points system and winners will be announced during the week.
Entries must be turned into the Souvenir Booth prior to the start of the first feature event to be eligible.

In other news, the Ideal Ready Mix IMCA Late Model event scheduled for April 25 is rescheduled for Friday, May 16. All five weekly classes will accompany the Late Models. The “Thirsty Friday” promotion will also be in effect for that night.
