Thunder in the Heartland Challenge at Donnellson Saturday

DONNELLSON, IA (Oct 2) – All five weekly classes of cars will entertain the semi-banked 3/8-mile at the Lee County Speedway as the Fall Special season continues on Saturday, October 4.

All five classes will have the opportunity to run for some extra dollars provided by several local sponsors. The top 8 cars after the Heat Races, including two points provisionals, will duke it out under the popular Australian Pursuit format.

The Draw/Redraw event will feature the Miller Lite IMCA Modifieds ($500 to win, $50 to start), Budweiser IMCA Stock Cars ($400 to win, $45 to start), Donnellson Tire Hobby Stocks ($300 to win, $40 to start), Lawson Racing Engines and Parts Supply SportMods ($300 to win, $40 to start), and Shottenkirk Parts Express Wild Things ($125 to win, $10 to start). Pit passes are $25. There are no entry fees.

The gates open at 5pm for the October 4th show. Hot laps take the track at 6:30 with racing to follow at 7pm. General admission is $10 for Adults (18-59), $9 for Seniors (60+), $7 for Students (11-17), and Free for Kids (10 and under). Pit passes are $25.
