The Lucas Oil Speedway Kicks Off the Memorial Day Weekend with 
Weekly Racing Series Action at The Diamond of Dirt Tracks

WHEATLAND, MO (May 23) - The Lucas Oil Speedway resumes weekly racing series 
action this Saturday, May 26th after graciously stepping aside the last two 
weeks for special events at the ultra modern multi-purpose facility located in 
Wheatland, Missouri. "The Diamond of Dirt Tracks" kicks off the Memorial Day 
Holiday with exciting side by side dirt track racing as we remember the men and 
women who have made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can enjoy the freedoms we 
do today in these great United States. Grandstand gates open at 5:00 this 
Saturday with Hot Laps scheduled to begin at 6:30 and racing to follow.
The Lucas Oil Spring-Bling Bonus Series presented by Sawyer Tire also resumes 
this weekend for the Factory Stocks and ULMA Late Models. This is an 8 race 
series that began on April 14th and ends on June 23rd. Drivers who race in 6 of 
the 8 weekly races in the series receive $200 in bonus $$. These drivers are 
also eligible to compete in the Lucas Oil Spring-Bling Shootout on July 14th 
which will pay 1 1/2 times the weekly purse!
The Miller Lite ULMA Late Models headline this week's event with Shawn Williams 
from Knob Knoster, MO holding a slim 10 point lead in the season long point 
standings over defending track champion Kevin Kaiser from Cole Camp, MO. Matt 
Menzie, Rylan Long, and Wheatland's own Harlen Kennedy round out the top 5 with 
just 39 points separating 1st through 5th. The Pitt's Home A-Modifieds will be 
in action as well with a very consistent Justin Stoufer leading the season 
point's championships by only 7 points with Billings, MO veteran Rex Merritt hot 
on his heals in 2nd place. Multi-time race winner Eric Turner sits in third spot 
with Johnny Fennewald and Richard Turner in 4th and 5th respectively. The TCI 
Transmission Factory Stocks are led in the points chase by Osage Beach's Bob 
Gustin with a 21 point lead over second place Troy Reasoner Jr. Eric Turner, 
Aaron Gustin, and James Flood fill spots 3rd through 5th. Mike Schrader leads 
the Hobby Stock points by half a dozen over Chris Williams, who won the last 
feature event held on May 5th. Nathan Vaughn, Adam Belt, and local driver Trevor 
Fitzgibbon fill out the top 5. 
Children 11 and under are admitted free to the speedway. Admission price for 
adults is $12, seniors are $8, and Students 12-17 are also $8. Season passes are 
available for $200 for students and seniors, adult season passes are $300. Pit 
passes are $25. 
Upcoming Events: The month of June will be dominated by Weekly Racing Series 
action on June 2nd, 16th, and 23rd. June 23rd will also include the Junior Fan 
Club Box Car Race. The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League will take over the facility 
on June 8th and 9th in a wild exhibition of Super Modified 2WD Trucks, Pro 
Modified 4WD Trucks, Modified Tractors and the 10,000# Pro Stock Tractors. The 
month of June will wrap up on June 30th with Coca-Cola Night at the Races 
featuring the ASCS Winged Sprint Cars, Miller Lite ULMA Late Models, and the 305 
Sprints
