WHEATLAND, MO (July 8) - On a picture perfect and very warm night at the Lucas Oil Speedway, the action on the racetrack and in the sky was even hotter as the crowd was treated to a fabulous night of weekly racing as well as a spectacular fireworks show to conclude the evening. Bigfoot, the Original Monster Truck presented by Sawyer Tire was also on hand and treated the crowd to a rousing display of car crushing and wild wheelies on the infield in between the hot racing action.

Jeff Schlup charged to the lead from his pole starting position in the ULMA Miller Lite Late Models but it was Kevin Kaiser passing Schlup with 2 laps to go to take the win. Schlup would settle for second in one of the best late model races of the season. Greenfield's Rylan Long would start third and finish third. J.D. Hubert had a fantastic run coming from the 11th starting position to finish fourth. Marshall, Missouri's Bryon Allison finished in the fifth spot. Danny Lorton, Harlen Kennedy, Walt Imhoff, James Rutledge, and Marty Pope rounded out the Top 10. Rylan Long continues to hold a very narrow 10 point lead over Kevin Kaiser in the season point standings.

In the Pitt's Homes A-Modifieds, Jesse Stovall jumped out to the lead from his front row starting position and never looked back as he put his Jackson Motorsports/Hoffman Chassis/Yeoman Racing engines machine into victory lane. A great battle for second between Rex Merritt and Jeff Cutshaw would see Merritt eventually secure the second spot with Cutshaw finishing in third. Steve Martin in the 21M would start eighth and finish fourth with Walker, Missouri's Gary Clark finishing in fifth. Jason Pursley led a parade of local drivers with Donnie Fellers and Todd Kallweit all from Wheatland finishing in the sixth through eighth spots. Steve Muilenburg and Terry Kirk were ninth and tenth respectively. Rex Merritt now holds a commanding 103 point lead over Terry Kirk in the point standings heading into the home stretch.

The TCI Transmission Factory Stocks would see first time visitor to the speedway this year, Robert Brown from Lane, KS take the win with Justin Stoufer in the black #87 holding on for second. Track points leader, Troy Reasoner Jr. finished in the third spot with Kevin Brown and Keith Webster rounding out the Top 5. Shaun Danuser, Big Al Thompson, Sheldon Stoufer, Eddie Barnes, and James Flood finished in the Top 10.

Adam Belt dominated the Chester Fried Chicken Hobby Stocks to take the win ahead of Sedalia, Missouri's Mike Schrader. Adam is now just 2 points behind third place finisher Chris Williams in the season long point standings. Don Belt and Paco Quintero finished in the fourth and fifth spots. Jacob Hall, Michael McGilvray, and Colson Kirk were also in the Top 8.
