WHEATLAND, MO (July 14) - With mother nature treating the fans to another perfect mid-summer night, a great crowd at the Lucas Oil Speedway was treated to a marvelous night of weekly racing series action on an ultra tacky racing surface. The action was fast and furious in all classes with a mix of repeat winners and first time winners visiting victory lane.

Appleton, Missouri's Johnny Fennewald held off a hard charging Kevin Kaiser in a two lap shootout at the finish to take the win in the Miller Lite ULMA Late Models. Kaiser marched through the field from his 18th starting position to take the second spot. Andy Kennedy steadily worked his way up from his 7th starting spot to finish third. Shawn Williams was fourth with former asphalt racing standout Kenny Dickinson finishing in fifth. Point leader Rylan Long finished in the sixth position despite racing with most of his nose piece missing after contact in his heat race. Jeff Schlup, Donnie Gemes, Walt Imhoff, and Harlen Kennedy completed the Top 10. J. D. Hubert had a very strong car and led the majority of the feature but contact with a lap car would relegate him to a 15th place finish. Long's point lead is still just two points over defending track champion Kaiser. Jeff Schlup sits in third 25 points behind the leader.

In the Pitt's Homes A-Modifieds, Eric Turner, in his Pitt's Homes/ Allen Autosports machine started on the pole and held off repeated challenges from Jeff Cutshaw to take another win. Cutshaw from Cross Timber's, Missouri finished second. Gary Clark in the Dirtworks modified finished in third with Terry Kirk and John Fellers having great runs to finish in the fourth and fifth spots. Rod Cordon, Todd Kallweit, David Gemes, Paul Snyder, and Dustin Campbell rounded out the Top 10. Rex Merritt broke on lap #1 ending up in the 22nd spot. His point lead is now 70 over Terry Kirk with Eric Turner only 76 markers behind Merritt.

Derek Brown from Stoutland, Missouri took the win in The TCI Transmission Factory Stocks from his second row starting spot. Justin Stoufer came from eighth to finish second. Troy Reasoner Jr. unofficially finishes in third with Kenny Carroll and Big Al Thompson rounding out the Top 5. The remainder of the Top 10 was Robbie Ott, Keith Webster, Eddie Barnes, Mike Moore in only his second start, and Josh Dugan.

The Sawyer Tire Spring Bling Shootout for the Factory Stocks also was run with Aaron Gustin holding off Bob Gustin in a spirited battle to take the win and the extra money that went with it. James Flood was third, Eddie Barnes fourth, and Big Al Thompson fifth. Reasoner Jr., Sheldon Stoufer, and Keith Webster finished in the sixth through eighth spots respectively.

Tanner Young beat Adam Belt by a nose to take the win in the Chester Fried Chicken Hobby Stocks. Don Belt was third with Kyle Smith fourth and Mike Schrader fifth. Michael Dameron, Colson Kirk, Jacob Hall, Michael McGilvray, and Chris Williams rounded out the Top 10. McGilvray and Williams both suffered flat tires ending their evening early. Adam Belt now holds a 14 point lead over Schrader and Williams who are tied just 14 points behind the leader.
