Bud Purkey Memorial at Mid America Speedway
Starts 2010 Lucas Oil MLRA Season


BUCKNER, MO (March 14, 2010) - The 2010 Lucas Oil MLRA Season revs up this weekend with the Inaugural $6,000 to win Bud Purkey Memorial on March 19th and 20th at the Mid-America Speedway in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. Over $48,000 in prize money will be on the line this weekend as the Lucas Oil MLRA kicks off the 2010 campaign.

Defending Lucas Oil MLRA Champion Al Purkey is the Co-Promoter of the event along with Jim White and Smiley's Racing Products of Kansas. The Open Wheel Modifieds will also be racing for a special $1,500 to win top prize running USRA rules. Factory Stocks, Pure Stocks, and the Non-Wing Turf Cars will also be in action.

The weekend gets underway with a practice session on Thursday, March 18th from 7-10pm. Grandstand Admission is FREE on Thursday with Pit Passes just $10. The action on Friday night gets underway at 7:30pm with Heat Races and Pole Dashes on the schedule. Adult Grandstand Admission is $12 on Friday with Juniors 7-15 just $5. Race fans 6 and under are FREE.

Saturday's Main Event action starts at 6:00pm. Adult Admission on Saturday is set at $20 while Juniors 7-15 are once again just $5 with kids 6 and under FREE. The Lucas Oil MLRA will take a one week hiatus before returning to racing action on April 3rd at I-80 Speedway at the Nebraska Raceway Park complex in Greenwood, Nebraska followed by the first of four visits to the "Diamond of Dirt Tracks", Lucas Oil Speedway on Saturday night April 10th.
